A kayak and paddleboard amenity for HOAs and lake communities

Give residents an easy way to use the lake without the association buying, storing, or maintaining a shared fleet.

Why it works for hoas and lake communities

Living on the water is a big part of why people buy into a lake or waterfront community. But not every resident owns a kayak or paddleboard, has room to store one, or wants to haul it down to the shore. A rental rack closes that gap and gets more residents using an amenity they already pay for.

Association-owned boats come with headaches: who books them, who cleans them, who pays when one cracks, and who's responsible if something goes wrong. With Launch Lockers, residents rent directly from us on their phones. We own and maintain the gear, handle payments and waivers, and support renters, so the board and your management company stay out of it.

On a zero-cost deployment, the association doesn't spend dues on equipment. If your community would rather invest in the equipment to keep a larger share of rental revenue, we can set that up instead.

Flexible partnership options

Choose the setup that fits your budget. We're flexible, and every option keeps the day-to-day work off your plate.

  • Flexible

    Custom arrangement

Want to cover part of the equipment cost for a larger share, start with a one-season pilot, or set seasonal terms? We'll build an arrangement around your budget and goals.

    • Terms built around your budget
    • Pilot-friendly
  • Larger share

    Own the equipment

Purchase the racks and gear yourself and keep a larger share of rental revenue. We still run everything renters touch: booking, payments, waivers, and support, for a small ongoing platform fee.

How a pilot works

We're choosing our first partners now. Here's what getting started looks like.

  1. Talk it through

Tell us about your property and goals. We'll look at where a rack fits and which arrangement makes sense.

  2. Agree on terms

Zero-cost, custom, or owning the equipment. We'll put it in a simple written agreement.

  3. Install and stock

We set up the rack, signage, and gear. Renters can book from day one.

  4. Review together

After the pilot, we look at how it went with you and decide what's next.

Questions we hear

Where does the rack go?

Usually at a common-area beach, dock, or launch that residents can already reach. We'll help choose a spot during a site visit.

Does the association have to buy anything?

Not on a zero-cost deployment. We cover the equipment and share a portion of rental revenue with the association.

What about insurance?

Launch Lockers is insured, and every renter signs a waiver before unlocking gear. Your management company or insurance agent can request our certificate of insurance.

What does a rack cost a property?

It depends on the arrangement. On a zero-cost deployment, we pay for the rack and gear, and a small portion of rental revenue is shared with you. You can also purchase the equipment to keep a larger share, with a small ongoing platform fee, or set up something in between.

Talk to us about a pilot

Tell us a bit about your property and we'll follow up to talk through fit, placement, and terms. No commitment.
